John Lennon was born on October 9, 1940, In Liverpool. At an early age John had to make a huge choice. he had to choose between his mother and his father. he chose his father but then after he saw his mother leave in tears he ran after he and cried " mummy!don't go, mummy." he had changed his mind and chose his mother.
John first played in the band called the Quarrymen. Paul McCartney (future Beatle) went to see him play one night, and once he showed John what he could do, he was immediatly in the band. Then pual introduced George Harrison, then later ringo Starr joined. they called themselves the Beatles. The Beatles first hit was please, please me. John Lennon was vocals and guitar.
John was first married to Cynthia Lennon. They had a son who was named Julian. They were married throughout most of the stages of the Beatles. Unfortunatly John never got to see Cynthia and Julian. He loved them but then one day while looking at an art exhibit, John met Yoko Ono. They hit it off right away. Then one day when Cynthia got back from a trip to Greece, she walked into their house and heard talking and saw tons of dirty dishes. He fould John in bed with Yoko Ono. She left in a hurry. Yoko and John had a true love. Yoko would come to all of The Beatles recordings, and meetings. She wqas always around wherever John was. The other band members got annoyed with this. I
Many people blamed Yoko Ono for the break up of The Beatles after their marriage in 1969. The couple became very involved in Peace movement. They did many drugs.
John's first solo album was released in December 1970 called John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. the following year john's legendary, IMAGINE was released. This was John's Lennon's tradmark song. He sings, "You may say i'm a dreamer. but i'm not the only one. I hope one day you will join us, and the world will live as one."
In 1973 John and Yoko gad separated
Lennon had been thrown out of his New York home because of extramartial affairs. This period was known as his "18-month lost weekend". He stopped drinkning. Then John and Yoko got back together. On December 8, 1980 John lennon and Yoko Ono stepped out of a cab and a man with the name of Mark David Chapman. John was rushed to the hospital but didn't make it. John Lennon was dead. : (
