Josh Groban did not grow up dreaming of musical success. In fact, his talents went unrecognized for quite some time. It was not until seventh grade when he joined his school’s vocal choir that he began singing. In truth, he only even joined the group because his fellow friends were in it. Groban, however, possessing an amazing baritone voice, soon went on to be accepted into the Interlochen Arts Program. In 1998, at the age of seventeen, he met Grammy award winning producer, David Foster. Foster immediately recognized the young man’s gift. The singer was not introduced to the public, however, until the 2001 season finale of comedy, Ally McBeal. On the show, Groban played a shy, nerdy kid who asks Ally to his prom. While at the prom, he amazes everyone with his stunning voice. The finale got the singer a lot of attention. Groban then performed at the Inaugural Ball for California governor, Gray Davis. He then hit the television circuit. He appeared on The Late Show, Larry King Live, Oprah, and was dubbed “Opera Boy,” by Rosie O’Donnell. Groban was soon after accepted to the prestigious music school at Carnegie Mellon university, but he declined and signed a recording contract with Warner Bros. Followers of the singer were dubbed, “Grobanites.”
In 2002, the singer released his debut, self-titled album. The album, which went triple platinum, featured artists such as The Corrs and Charlotte Church. The album also had prestigious songwriters such as Richard Marx, Albert Hammond, and Carole Bayer Sager. Groban also performed a duet with Charlotte Church at the closing ceremony for the Winter Olympics in Salt lake City, Utah. There was an estimated one billion viewers. He also starred in the Great performances Series on PBS. Later that year, he sang “The Prayer” and “To Where You Are” at the Nobel peace Prize Concert held in Oslo, Norway. He also performed at the Vatican in Rome with artists such as The Corrs, Lionel Richie, Sting, and Ronan Keating.
In early 2003, he released Josh Groban in Concert. The album was accompanied with a concert DVD. In November of 2002, Groban released an album entitled Closer. The album received mixed reviews.

First time i would like to inrtoduce my sel to you,my name is hendra fabiant,iam from bali _ Indonesia,male,24 years old.when i first time to heard your voiced,is so amazing for me,i watch you on my tv.and i started to find your album,is so great Josh.I've been long time intrested with the people have voices like you,like i love charllote also but iam preferd with u.Little story for you,i never respect with any artist or singer before until joined they are club,but with you,i dont have any single world to said....
But i would like to say to u honestly,iam little bit dispaointed with your Closer album,i found somenting diffrent,i cant enjoyed with your music and your voiced like i i heard your first album,i knew iam stupid what the music is,but i tell u the truth,is so diffrent buddy.
You know Josh,your first album i play for may time,more and more without any borred,and of course iam so expected with the second one,why Josh..
I know u handled with David Foster,wellknown man on music world,but you changed buddy and i dont like it,but i dont know about any commment with your another fans.But dont worry iam still expeted with your another album.at the moment i keep hunted to searching your album concert,do you record it Josh...coz i so hard to find out here.
