Many years ago, Josh Solomon was dreaming of becoming an air plane pilot when a guitar flew magically down from the sky. Josh took it as a sign to make music and become a rockstar.
Okay, what really happened was that the neighborhood boys next door, who never let Josh play in their reindeer games, were testing a homemade cannon with a toy nobody wanted: (gasp!) a guitar.
Now at the same time in a far away land, Nate was saving a princess from a tower protected by a dragon. Upon saving her she demanded a kiss and he denied her his lips as he knew she would be frightened at the sight of an Ogre such as he. Wait a minute, that’s the movie Shrek. Hmmm... Well it fits. Nate was told by an evil Witch that he would not be able to play the godly instrument called the bass. So, Nate called upon the Wizard of Oz, who gave Nate a rotten egg and said that the funk given off by such egg will guide him around the funk of the bass.
Meanwhile, Danny wasn’t born. Just Kidding. He was. Danny had been travelling the world as a pirate. A nice pirate but nevertheless a pirate. Danny really wanted to learn how to give bikini waxes (he thought it was something else) but realized it wasn’t for him when he couldn’t put his legs behind his head. With this realization, he was enraged and grabbed wood from the ship deck and slammed it down repeatedly. Oddly pleased by this sensation, he continued to beat against the boat until he had developed what is now called "rhythm."
Then one day, despite all odds, these three worlds collided in a momentous amount of rocking. Space rocking. Three men were needed for the most intense NASA experiment ever conceived. For unknown reasons, Josh, Nate and Danny were all put on this mission (and paid five lucky dollars to be split between them). When they reentered the known universe, they all rocked. Hard.
These events may or may not have actually occurred, however The Empty Pockets truly believe they did.
