About the band...
Jump Me Martha performs new music in a vintage style. While singer Suzanne Paschall is inspired by Alberta Hunter and Tommy Dahl is a talented boogie-woogie and blues pianist, the original music they create has 21st century lyrics, humor, and plenty of surprises. Their quintet swings hard and the styles they perform include classic blues, hot jazz and swing. Their spirited music may be timeless, but it is also brand new. Jump Me Martha is not to be missed.

Formed in late 2007, the band performs a collection of originals they call “new swing standards” and their singular versions of great Big Band-era tunes. They’ve already performed numerous gigs at 2008 summer festivals, and have engaged audiences from 15 to 400 to 800—from duo house concerts to sold-out Broadway Theatre jazz festival performances to large corporate shows and outdoor music festivals.
Tommy & Suzanne also perform duo gigs at clubs, house concerts and a second-year sold-out dinner/concert cruise series on the Saskatchewan Princess (for which they won a 2008 Sask Tourism award). As successful songwriters, they have placed their tunes with other jazz artists’ recordings, and in film and television. They’ve also won songwriting awards and had their work included in international compilation CD projects. Their work has been supported by Factor, SaskMusic and the Saskatchewan Arts Board.
Jump Me Martha goes into the studio in Summer, 2009 to record its first album, “Go Fat Daddy.” Suzanne & Tommy released their first CD, “Life Sentences,” in 2004, and are now in their second printing of 1,000 copies.
