Born Kristopher LaRock, December 30th, 1982 in St. Paul Minnesota, K.1 relocated with his mother to Central New York at age 1. There, he began writing rap lyrics at age 12. After graduating from Norwich High School in 2001, K.1 aka K. LaRock (producer alias) began recording mixtapes independently under his label, F.U. Enta'tainment with long-time friends Nutz and Seven-Thirty. K.1 also focused his attention to producing his own tracks as well as producing other indie artists since 2003. His solo debut album, Tha Calm Before Tha Storm was released under the Virginia based independent label, 9th Dynasty Records early 2006.
