Before i go on with the "who am i" and "why i'm here".. i would like to thank a few people who support me whenever i need them. a big shout out to 3D, Liad Ben Joya, 1/2 of my crew Yaldey Ha'Shluha. and another one for family, friends, producers, hip hop heads, you. Shall we continue? fuck yes, this is my space, i get to make the decisions around here. "who am i?" a hip hop head with tons of spare time. some call me Igal, some call me other names. you better call me "k" (pronounced kay) when i'm on a stage near you. "why "k"?" the k letter stands for 3 things that my emcee persona is based upon.. knowledge, social awareness (the name of my whereabouts starts with a k), knowledge of self (my last name starts with a k). the inverted commas are to let you know that the dude you hear on a track is not certainly who i really am.. split personality ish. "why i'm here?" israel's domestic hip hop scene lacks in creativity, passion, and realness. i'm not here to change things, i'm here to affect. "influences?" anything goes, from the alternative underground rap these days to late 90s east coast rap to early 90s jazz-rap fusion. my biggest influences are probably, Common, The Roots, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch, KRS One, Jay Z, Nas, Rakim, 2pac, Slum Village, Gang Starr, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Dj Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince, Jeru The Damaja, Jurassic 5, Ludacris, Outkast, The Pharcyde and a lot more.. "upcoming projects?" currently working on my first solo album called "The Uprise".. (Internet FREE release, probably 4th quarter 2007). it will include 6 up to 12 tracks.. guest appearances from 3D, Simon Sez and more. KEEP HIP HOP ALIVE. |
