From the dusty mire of the Long Island, NY scene, The Karma Parade was founded by John Karma, formerly of the legendary garage-folk punk act Karma Essence. This band also included Joe Spadaro later of indie legends The Atomic Hep Cats and American Laundromat Records fame. Since the breakup in 2001 a new band formed. The trio John Karma & The Band Parade, this new band included Nancy Hilsenbeck on percussion and Edward McNeice, of Otis Mercury Jones on bass. The power trio has created quite a buzz on the Long Island scene since 2004. Following their first performance at the first showcase for American Laundromat Records in September of 2004, the band changed their name to the The Karma Parade and began recording their first solo effort.
The Karma Parade has since signed up with American Laundromat Records in 2004, and has been in the studio recording their first EP release tentatively called "One Hundred Days" due out in 2007. The songs on this page are featured prereleased songs from the upcoming EP.
