Katie Melua (a 19 year old singer/songwriter from Georgia)'s Debut Album, Call of the Search was at number one in the album charts for weeks.
She has often been compared to Norah Jones, as the songs on her album are slightly jazzy and bluesy. She released 'The Closest thing to Crazy' before Christmas in 2003 and it was one of the favourites to be Christmas number one.
So far she has only released one single, but im sure that there is more to come. With the support of such presenters as Terry Wogan (radio 2)she is sure to have more success in the future
