Singer-songwriter Keith Pyle was born in Fort Wayne, IN, and grew up in Fresno, CA. He now makes his home in Sacramento, CA. Peace And Quiet is Keith’s second release, following up his 2004 debut, ...and everything’s a blur.
Fans of the radio-friendly melodies of Weezer and The Lemonheads, as well as the power-pop swagger of The Strokes, should find Peace And Quiet to be of interest.
Keith played in various short-lived grunge rock bands during his youth in Fresno. He eventually hocked all of his equipment for cash, and began attending Fresno City College. Finding a fascination for the humanities and social sciences, he transferred to the University of California Davis and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
After only a short time, Keith’s passion for writing music returned. He re-built his arsenal of musical instruments, then headed into the recording studio to craft his debut album with the help of producer Dave Middleton. The day after the album’s release, Keith immediately began work on Peace And Quiet.
Both albums are currently receiving airplay on many college and internet stations, including SOMA FM, Pop Garden Radio, and WSOU. Both are currently available through Amazon.com, CD Baby, and Tower Records. Peace And Quiet was recently included on Boston’s “Too Much Rock” podcast.
Keith has also worked on other projects, including singing backup vocals for The Famous Celebrities and even playing acoustic guitar for the St. John’s Lutheran church band.
Currently a law school student at the University of the Pacific McGeorge, Keith divides his time between studying, attending classes, and promoting his music. He will be heading back into the studio in late 2006 to record his third album, prospectively entitled The Rebirth of Radio.
