ROCK 'N ROLL? KICK 'N SCREAM ARE HAIRY, GLAMMY ROCK 'N ROLL WITH A TOUCH OF LUST. LA STYLE ROCK PLAYED THE BRITISH WAY, ALMOST LIKE LED ZEPPELIN DOING A MOTLEY CRUE COVER. OH YEAH, THEY ALSO HAVE A CRAZY SOUTH AFRICAN SINGER ....
KICK 'N SCREAM : ANGLO-SOUTH AFRICAN ROCK 'N ROLL!!
Our story can be traced back to 1999. Guitarists PP Piso and Six String Shredda
formed a Heavy Metal act called Schwarzwind, playing mainly Thrash Metal
with a drummer called James and a Bassist called Kerridge. The band did
quite well in their local area, establishing themselves as a Thrash Metal
sensation. Further South was Singer Gabriel St White, Gabz for short, with
his Melodic Rock act, Maywar, who earned quite a lot of respect and even
radio play down South. Both bands came to an end in 2002 and in the beginning
of 2003, PP Piso and Six String Shredda formed a new band with James,
they needed a singer.
Gabz, who has moved up from the Southern Lands,
saw their add in a local newspaper, "Wild, energetic frontman needed,
has to be able so sing like Bon Jovi and do the splits like David Lee Roth and
look like Bret Michaels". Gabz decided that he had matched 2 out of 5
of the criteria's and that he can work on the other 3.
Things started out by playing
their favorite Traditional Heavy Metal covers, and they started writing their
own stuff after a while, pretty Traditional Heavy Metal stuff. They went under
the name "Deceiver" and did hundreds of gigs all across England, gaining
quite a respect in the scene. But all wasn’t well in the Deceiver camp, Gabz,
PP Piso and Six String Shredda wanted to play the kinda music they loved the
most, Hard Rock, Rock N Roll and the kind of stuff that was promoted as
"Heavy Metal" on MTV in the 80's. So to them the perfect sound would be
Skid Row mixed with Rolling Stones, mixed with Poison. James didn't agree
, as he wanted to stay a Metal purist. So, the 3 of us parted ways with James
and went out under a new name, KICK 'N SCREAM, and were ready to make
you KICK 'N SCREAM!!!
KICK 'N SCREAM ARE:
GABZ - VOCALZ : (born in 1984 in South Africa)
Being born and growing up in a country that suffered many political struggles, Gabz found his escape in his Poetry and Music. He was influenced by the poetry of William Blake, TS Eliot and Motley Crue, to write own songs and lyrics. He is fuelled by Woman and Wine and loves Rock ‘N Roll: Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Dogs D’Amour, Pretty Boy Floyd, Hanoi Rocks, Faster Pussycat, LA Guns, Bon Jovi, Poison
SIX STRING SHREDDA - LEAD AND RHYTHM GUITARS:
(Born in 1986 in England)
SSS loves Fast Cars and Tequila, but knows the 2 don't mix well. He also
loves Thin Lizzy and Skid Row, but reckons the 2 mix quite well together.
In the same way he loves Gary Moore and Yngwie Malmsteen and realizes
they make an excellent mix as well. And Six String Shredda also realizes
that He, Gabz and PP Piso mix perfectly and would like to persuade you
of it to.
PP PISO - LEAD AND RHYTHM GUITARS: (Born in 1982 in England)
what a healthy young man PP is. He lives of Cornflakes, Beer, Coffee, Guns
N Roses, Faith No More, Cinderella, Meat Loaf, AC/DC and Rock Horror
Picture Show. He would like you to follow his diet and guarantee's that
you'll be a healthy Rock 'N Roll Wild Child, or your money back (your
statutory rights won't be affected)
CHANG - DRUMZ: (Born 500 BC in China)
Chang is the last Samurai Warrior left in the world. He was obviously born in the Chang Dynasty. He took a liking to Rock music in the 80’s when he heard stuff like Motley Crue, Guns ‘N Roses and Bon Jovi. He then decided he wants to hit the drums really hard like Tommy Lee and he does. I’m lying though; he’s just a 19-year-old dude from Norfolk. He still rocks. His influences: Booze, Girls, trying to play in time.
