With the debut of their self-titled 1998 EP, Lacuna Coil turned a lot of head in Italy's ambient/ goth scene thanks in part to Cristina Scabbia's haunting, but mesmerizing vocals. Additional recognition was followed after a European tour with Moonspell and later with The Gathering and Seigmen. -the bands first full-length In A Reverie was issued in 1999. Unleashed Memories followed in spring 2001.

Beautifuly Awesome
I am seriously obsessed with the album
'Comalies'. The lyrics are awesome and
the vocals are absolutely beautiful, I think
Amy Lee has some competition when it comes to
belting and ranging notes in singing. Plus,
the guitar riffs are kick ass!

bands before them recieved such little praise
while Evanescence has been accredited with
starting something totally original. Well,
Lacuna Coils been around much longer (not
Evanescence's fault) and they sound

more experience in the musical industry and
