With the debut of their self-titled 1998 EP, Lacuna Coil turned a lot of head in Italy's ambient/ goth scene thanks in part to Cristina Scabbia's haunting, but mesmerizing vocals. Additional recognition was followed after a European tour with Moonspell and later with The Gathering and Seigmen. -the bands first full-length In A Reverie was issued in 1999. Unleashed Memories followed in spring 2001.

Just a few words.
Why's there such a small amount of posts
on the good bands' forums?
I won't write revies or something,I'll
just say my opinion about this band. Lacuna
Coil is woth listening, for the mix of great
vocals, unbanal texts and gothic metal makes
them sound incredible. I don't care if
someone says their music is commercial, or
pop - I'm not a fan but they've touched
me to the bottom of my heart. This means
they've succeded in fulfiling the aim of
any good band - making listeners a little bit
happier.

| I agree with u amita. Lacuna Coil is a band
that has been able to reach out to me and
touch my heart with their lyrics. I still
love them even if other ppl call them sell
outs cause they r a bit mainstream. The
vocalist is better than pop singer that's
around nowadays. I never get bored of
listening to Lacuna Coil and it takes a very
special band to get me listening to their
music and not being able to get bored with
it. Lacuna Coil Rulez and if TheVampireArmAnd
is reading this, go ahead and call me an
idiot for listening to Lacuna Coil and call
them poseurs for all i care.It takes a really
talented band to get me to listen to their
music everyday. The female vocalist of Lacuna
Coil is my idol cause I rarely see any women
into the whole rock/metal scene and i am
amazed at how the lead singer can be in a
genre of music that is mostly male dominated
and still be able to compete with them. Their
sound is unique and they are never too hard
or loud. They could be enjoyed by anybody

radio station or see one of their videos on
MTV, and i've been a fan of theirs for 2
years now. Anyway, they're a great band
and i absolutely love Cristina's voice. I
can barely listen to their music without
feeling inspired to get into a band and
follow in her footsteps. She's definitely
an idol to me. I love her voice and

i´m just talking about other
"fans" who call them sell outs
just cause they hv a bit of media attention.
I personally don´t agree. I mean i think that
a band as awesome as lacuna coil is bound to
get some attention by the media, which they
deserve but that doesn´t make them sell outs.
