Beginning in an abandoned basement two years ago it has since taken Land of Lincoln two years to achieve official garage band status in The Heart of America. We are a band about the song. To us each one of our songs stands on its own as much as it stands with others we write. Honestly, all we do is write songs.
Land of Lincoln is a rock band from Bloomington, Illinois or like we tell everyone we meet these days “it’s a small town of 100,000 people about two hours south of The City of Chicago”.
We formed as a band on June 24th, 2007 with members Jason Jeakins (Bass/Vocals), Jacob Brennan (Guitars), and Chris Johnson (Drums). We have been a band together for a short two years though we have an ever-growing catalog of songs continuing to grow to this day. We recorded “Misunderstood” in 2008 at Oxide Lounge Recording Studios in Bloomington, IL with engineer Tony Sanfilippo. Just last month (July 09’) “Misunderstood” was featured on Central Illinois 96.7 Local Music Radio Showcase.
Nowadays we write songs, work on our material, and record.
There is honestly so much that has happened, and those things we’d like to see happen that we could go on and on for days. We do our best to have a good time, keep an open mind, and rock. |
