LATTE+ began in early 1997 in Empoli, a city in the Florentine area.
In the spring of same year, they entered the studio to record their first demo entitled Dustbin in Town that included six self-produced English songs, in which 500 copies were printed. The band sold out all copies of the demo within a year.
In 1998, the band continued to write new English songs and the experiences that occupied the following year and a half resulted in The New Generation Sucks. The band put together over fifty concerts in the next year and a half in Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Liguria and Veneto selling out all 600 copies of their new album; this resulted in new found interest from various independent record labels.
The first non, self-produced album, Guerriglia Urbana, was recorded in Treviso during December of 2001 which was released the following spring. This album marked the change from the English to Italian language and launched LATTE+ in a new direction; they became a well known band at the national level and resulted in the reputation as one of the best bands in the Italian independent music scene. During the following two years, they continued to tour Italy from side to side, concluding the tour at the top by participating at Punk Evil Festival in Switzerland among a crowd of 5,000 people. Thanks to an adequate promotion, appearances on Rock Television and coverage from regional and national radio stations; not to mention the reviews from the best music magazine resulted in the distribution of over 3,000 copies of Guerriglia Urbana.
During the summer of 2004, the familiar live activity was suspended to record the 14 tracks that resulted in Molotov, a highly anticipated album in the Italian indie scene. This album was released in January 2005 and 2000 copies of it has been sold in 6 months! The tour which followed the promotion and last all 2005 leading the band to the most famous club and exhausting of copies of Molotov.
After the Molotov Tour, some songs of the band have being included in various national compilations which highlights *6, split with various Roman band which includes three inedited songs recorded for the occasion and a special tribute to Joe Strummer with "White Man In Hammersmith Palais".
Actually LATTE+ are working (hard) on the songs for their third album which will be release on 2007. The title will be CHAOS.
