| A product of the cross-border metropolis that is San Diego and Tijuana, Lhabia's influences range from the experimental aspects of Pink Floyd through the 1980s (Joy Division, the Cure) to contemporaries like Godspeed You Black Emperor and Mogwai. There's a bit of the traditional Mexican sound but it's filtered through so many experiences and influences that it wouldn't be fair to categorize the band as Latin. Mostly instrumental, there are some tracks with vocals and violin augmenting the lineup of two guitars, bass, drum, and keyboards. |
