Lillix is a band from Cornerbrook, British Columbia, Canada. The group first consisted of sisters, Tasha-Ray Evin (guitar, vocals), older sister Lacey-Lee Evin (keyboard, vocals), and friend Louise Burns (bass, vocals). The group, who used to go by the name Tigerlilly, did concerts in their hometown. Eventually, a scratchy demo made it to the office of entertainment lawyer, Jonathan Simkin. Simkin saw potential in the band and helped the girls do a more refined demo. He then sent the demo to both Canadian and American record labels. The group was soon signed to Madonna’s Maverick Records in January 2001. Maverick then changed the group’s name to Lillix. Soon after signing to Maverick, lillix hired Kim Urhahn to be the group’s drummer (and some vocals). Lillix’s debut album, Falling Uphill, debuted in the Spring of 2003. Writers for the album include: the Matrix (Avril Lavigne), Glen Ballard (Alanis Morrisette), and Linda Perry (Pink). The group’s cover of The Romantic’s hit, “What I Like About You,” is used for the WB series with the same title, starring Jennie Garth. Soon after the release of their album, Lillix began playing shows at malls and festivals. Their single, “It’s About Time,” was a big request on MTV’s TRL in the spring of 2003. Lillix’s single, “Tomorrow,” is another big hit on TRL in October 2003.

but yah i like them a lot. i just wish people could stop comparing them to other artists. i just want people to stop critisizing and start listening. they might here something different if they just shut there mouth and open there ears and mind | icantthinkofaname | | Yeah, surprisingly, I like Lillix (I'm more into Metal and Punk, but these guys are alright). And I never knew they were from Canada... even better. :-) | dilly | | I think Lillix sounds just like Hillary Duff and Avril Lavigne. I don't LIKE this band, the music biz needs some girls that can make REAL rock music, enough of the sappy pop! | -lnirvana_freakl- | I like they're music cuz its different from other bands and your right people should stop comparing them to other artists. | LovetoDance | | | |
