| Band Biography
Living For Today was formed in September of 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church. The band was Scott Green on guitar and vocals, Jake Hamilton on bass, and Greg Detar on drums. Soon there after Phil Chavis joined the band as the lead guitarist. A little after Phil joined the band Jake left for personal reasons and Tom Purvis took over on bass. Once the four piece was together LFT cut a four track demo and began to play in churches. In the summer of 2004 LFT hit the studio again to cut their first full length E. P. While recording, Doug Binkley joined the band to do back up vocals, mainly screaming. After the full length was released the band started to play at larger venues such as the Recher Theatre. As the band progressed musically and the band became heavier Phil left for personal reasons. The fan base grew and so did the shows. The band continued to play at places like the Recher, Thunderdome, and the Vault. As they enter the summer of 2005 the band plans on touring out of state and to release a new demo. LFT is a Christian rock with a positive attitude towards their fans and music.
