Luciana was Born and raised in Chicago, She moved to Rockford to focus on a career in music. With two years of vocal training under her belt, along with a year of training in drama, Performing has always been one of her passions, in May of 2000 she made her first appearance at the Woman's Theater in Rockford IL. for a Talent Show Case called... 'The Apollo Night' this performance assured the sultry singer to make an attempt towards a career in music, the year 2000 was also her first debut at the Pec Play House (Pecatonica IL.) in the theatrical performance of "The Family man".
Luciana make her mark as a backup singer for a Local Rockford band called, Bea Brady rock-n-soul revue (now known as Bellina), Giving her the opportunity to performed in a variety of places around and outside of Illinois. In later years she started Performing with Jazz Saxophonist Harlan Jefferson.
Luciana continues to astound and captivate her audiences Leaving a mark of shear Talent behind. She worked on her first locally generated album... 'Open Mic Night in 2002' The album itself created a little buzz around Rockford that landed her appearances on cable network TV, featured in newspaper articles, and interviewed by the media concerning her talent, it also gave the opportunity to be featured in a local T.V. commercial for the city's Semi Pro basketball team the..'Rockford Lighting'. This open yet another door for Luciana as she was able to make more appearances at such places as... The Booker T. Washington Fair (Booker Fest 2yrs.), The National Black Women League (The Black Family Reunion), For two years Luciana has participated in the Juneteenth celebration, and was a guest entertainer for The United Way foundation of Rockford IL.
In April of 2003 Luciana was recognized for her singing and songwriting abilities
when she received Rockford’s RAMI (Rockford Annual Music Industry) Award... for 'Composer Of The Year' and also earning a Nomination for Album of the year.
