Machine & Karma began in late 2007 with Joe Richmond (Guitars) and Sean Zywick (Bass, Drum Synth). In less than a year, they began the composition of a 16-track "classical fusion" album with intense acoustic rhythms, jazzy bass riffs, speedy leads, and a funky beat to kick off a professional music career that's progressing by each album into a genre of metal/jazz/classical/grunge(fusion).
Joe Richmond (Founder of Joes Shred Palace Foundations) has been in the independent music scene for the last decade throughout Jacksonville, playing guitars for Spread The Plague (disbanded)2006-2007, and numerous experimental metal virtuoso projects, including bass/electric guitar for the late Koncrete 2006, performing at The Connection Festival 2006. Included in his participation in the Jacksonville indie-music scene, he was a sales representative/music instructor/admin-programmer to the late Guitar Loft, LLC, a sound engineer at The Pit, covering over 100 indie bands for promotional shows and the co-founder, lead guitarist on the 2003-2004 USS Hue City rock band.
Sean Zywick (Slab Meat Records) will be writing his own bio as soon as he is done recording in the next 10 years.
Machine & Karma has already begun writing music for the second album before the first is completed. A step up from the "Classical Fusion", they will be portraying a style of acoustic grunge (radio-friendly) tracks to mold with the classical introduction. |
