Well didnt get to read that last forum so what was said at the start? What is the deal with goths anyways. For anyone who is a goth, why do you wear the clothes, make-up etc. I mean Im a big MM fan but definitely not a goth. I dont get it, why would you all want to look the same? | Tallicat |
i agree with the post above mine, i am far from gothic, Marilyn Manson is awsome, and the band is amazing, however; i do need to ask: why do people wear black make-up and dress crazy? I mean isn't it to get away from the norm, to get away from society, then how can they lable themselves as gothic? Someone who truly dresses that way because they like the look wouldn't call themselves gothic, because it would be a style not a statement. So please explain how people that are trying to get away from society can be sucked into lableing themselves?? To me it doesn't make sense. | Britney_Lou |
I am sorry you feel that way about my comment, i think you should read it again, you didn't understand it, it was a question, and if you still feel that way after you understand it, then you truly just want to be open minded and don't have opinions of your own, again i am sorry you feel that way, i thought that i understood what you were saying in the paragraph above my first entry. However, i seemed to have thought wrong.

Wuh de ma! A topic not plagued with omg, lol and various other grammatical abominations?
"Marilyn Manson is Goth"
That’s interesting. Correct me if I am wrong, but last time I graced Isound weren't you vigorously preaching to the contrary? Of corse you have had more exposure to the whole Goth culture so I'm not going to try and challenge you on this topic, I am just curious as to what caused this sudden change of heart.
"why do people wear black make-up and
dress crazy?"
Though I don't consider myself to be "Goth" as such (Although I admittedly don't make an overly vigorous opposition when people make claim that I am) I tend to dress the way I do firstly because that’s the way people I idolise and respect do so (primarily Robert Smith, more from the Lovecats era than anything else). Secondly would be as a form of expression which for me being a highly arts orientated person is an important aspect of life.
"I think you should read it again"
Well now doesn’t that sound familiar? I wouldn't apologise if I were you. Mr Armand here has the quite uncanny ability to take about anything to offence. | VoicesCollaboration |
"Bullshit"
Awwwww hell. Not one prone to change are we.
"Robert Smith's dress was never very
artistic"
But damn he looked good.
"I doubt your artistic skill if
you can't even make your own form of
dress."
My artistic capabilities are regularly given the praise they deserve so I am not going to consider that debateable. Not with one such as you anyway.
And it is a fool indeed who thinks that anything they do is totally original. Most often 'originality' is just a mismatch of various thing that already have or do exist.

Unfortunately, there will always be people who try to fit into certain subcultures to feel accepted by their peers. They are the pathetic retards who go around listening to everything their "friends" think are cool and all together loosing all of their views and opinions just to feel accepted. I think people should be as true to them self as they can be and make sure to know who they are and to know their limits. Otherwise, they have nothing but a body and a brain that knows nothing about its owner.
However, I do admire the people that can have a certain look about them that no one has never seen before. Witch does not mean drippy eye liner, Tripp pants, Jack Skellington gloves, and a shirt that says "Punk" across the front even though they know nothing about the punk culture. That is not original at all, I could point out tons of people who looks like that. What I am saying is I love it when people can express them self without placing them self into a label. | IBegtoDream |
i am serious i am freaking goth. and who cares if they say they r goth or not. i dont like it when people judge people like me. AND MARILYN MANSON ROCKS! | sweetiepie1 |
