It's taken a long time for me to take my music seriously. I'd like to blame it on 7 years of military schools and 26 years in the Air Force, but I think it probably has more to do with my Attention Deficit Disorder making a gnat in a tornado look like Michelangelo putting the finishing touches on the chapel ceiling.
Anyway, a bit about the songs:
I began writing "I'm Not Ready for This" on the eve of my daughter's 18th birthday, and finished recording it at about 7am the morning of (my excuse for the lack of "precision"). It was her birthday present.
"Will You be There" was written with a friend of mine, Dave Filippi, back in college. "It Dawned on Me" is an adaptation of one of his poems. He has a much better way with words than I...and I thank him for sharing his gift.
Soon, I'll re-record these and rotate some of my more autobiographical and story-driven songs through the mix. If I ever get the production to sound more professional, and if I get some positive feedback from you folks, I'll upgrade and put more than 4 songs up. Until then, thanks for listening.
Cheers,
