Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 The Maudlin Hounds, alive and well and making waves. Hello friends and visitors.
It's been a while since we made some noise on ISOUND but here's some updates from The Maudlin Hounds HQ.
A lot of things are going very well and we're still in the rock and roll business. There is a small problem though and evil tounges speak of a break-up within the band. Well, don't believe what you hear because they're all full of shit.
We know some of you wonder whether The Maudlin Hounds are breaking up or not regarding our long time drummer, Jarle Måløy leaving the band. The answer to everyones concern is: We are NOT calling it a day! We'll continue to work on our new album and we'll release it as soon as we allow ourselves to announce the arrival of a new drummer. So there you go, we are still going strong only with one bandmember short. Yesterdays were the past, now we're homing in on the future. Show up and be there with us.
Songs from our new album will be uploaded on our ISOUND page soon so check back and listen to our new stuff then.
We shall return - The Maudlin Hounds. |

Those four words very well describe the music of The Maudlin Hounds. Inspired by many styles stretching from blues, folk and country music via 60’s pop to classic rock and metal, The Hounds swings their musical doors wide open. Nevertheless, what it all boils down to is hard rock ‘n’ roll with a “pop” feel to it. The Maudlin Hounds way of pulling it off.

Wilco, Foo Fighters, Blue Oyster Cult, Manic Street Preachers, Semisonic, Son Volt, UFO, Teenage Fanclub, The Rainmakers, Bob Mould, Paul Westerberg, R.E.M., Midnight Oil, Jethro Tull, Metallica, AC/DC, The Posies, Pearl Jam, Opeth, XTC, Crowded House, Del Amitri, Better Than Ezra, Weezer, Jason & The Scorchers |
