Company Bio
MBL Records LLC was originally Massive By Law Productions and was established in 1990 and produced their first single “Crack Won’t Make It Right”. This song was playing on the radio in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The artist at that time was myself Tyrone Collier aka Lord Diss. Eventually I started to seek artists to create and expand my record label roster bringing this venture to a new level. In 2003 I came across Freaky formerly of Skindeep and Cali-Budd. In 2006 while searching for an R&B act I ran into a young man 18 years old, Baron Hillman aka Beazy. His talent was astounding and I saw great potential in him. I booked studio time and produced hit songs with his raw talent. I had a vision at that time and decided to invest my time and finance into this project full speed ahead. Cali-Budd has a unique style because he brings a little West Coast and a little East Coast to his music. I signed Stephen Brocket aka Lucasse. Lucasse was formally signed to Henchman Records and has appeared on The Original 50 Cent DVD.
On my own, I have produced over 40 songs between my three artists, one 2 song music video and a photo shoot for Baron Hillman. All three artists have been featured on a host of mix tapes. We have performed in clubs such as The Remote Lounge, M15, and The Alphabet Lounge in Manhattan, The Forbidden One, Auggies in Brooklyn, and Creek in the Cave in Queens. We have appeared on TV on MNN several times, interviewed on the radio with 106.3 and Medgar Evers College radio several times, and interviewed with numerous magazines and DVD’s due to release in 2007. Baron Hillman has also performed with Hethen (an upcoming artist) as an opening act for The Clipse and Lil Wayne for The West Virginia Homecoming Bash 2006 on 10/26/2006. On February 1, 2007, Ms, Bea from The Mothership Connection hosted a red carpet event for MBL and we was interviewed by Source magazine for there March issue. MBL Records also appears in February’s issue of Protégé magazine. Baron Hillman aka Beazy and Cali-Budd also participated in The Jordan Experience at the Sports Complex Center in Las Vegas for all star weekend in February 2007. Cali-Budd is in full rotation in the US and across seas. MBL is expected to make a big name for itself in 2009.
