Hole & Pumpkin So I see in Melissa's bio that she played bass in Smashing Pumpkin. I knew she played in Hole with Courtney Love. I am only familiar with her bass stuff in Hole, which I thought was pretty awesome. Unfortunately I know nothing of her stuff in Smashing Pumpkin (yeah, I live under a rock) or her current band. Any comparisons? Same styles?	GrayBeard

Oh, I don't know! I've never actually heard a great deal of the Smashing Pumpkin's stuff; all I know is she played on their final album (and I think the only Hole album she played on was Celebrity Skin). I also don't play guitar or bass, so I'm probably not a valid judge of guitar styles! All I know is: her own/the Smashing Pumpkin's stuff is a little more downbeat than what she played in Hole, and probably a little harder. Sorry, I'm rubbish on topics like this!	spottyslippers

Ooh, a new person! Hello! Yeah, I thought she was pretty awesome too. I don't know the music of either band that well, but from I've heard...she was good. But she's doing it alone now, so at least she hasn't vanished completely following their respective brak-ups.	spottyslippers
