Who is Melody Meets Me?
I am Eric, and I like archiving my life through recordings. I write and record daily (or as often as time permits) and I translate what my eyes and ears have captured throughout the days/weeks/years into an audible message to share with you. If you love it, dance; if you hate it, well that's just how it is. I have recorded over 500+ songs to date in my various home recording studios, and have only 5,500 more to go until I reach my death goal of 6,000 recorded songs. I am kind of hoping this will preserve my soul a little longer in life... we all die, and I assume we'd all like to be remembered for something...this is my "something" in a non-commercial, slightly underground style.
Why the name Melody Meets Me?
If you listen to my music, you will notice that I do not always stay in pitch. My guitars are always a little out of tune, my timing is never perfect, and the words do not always make sense. So... I decided to remind myself to try harder and stay in tune with out the need of vocal processing, and that reminder is the melody. It needs to Meet me. Hence, Melody Meets Me.
