The Mighty Mighty Bosstones started in 1985 in Boston, Massachusetts. They place ska core music (which is ska with a mixture of hardcore punk... or i like to say punk with hardcore ska...) The guys that started it were:
Dicky Barrett- Vocals
Nate Albert- Guitar
Joe Gittleman- Bass
Josh Dalismer- Drums
Tim Bridewell- Saxaphone
Tim "Johnny" Vegas Burton- Saxaphone
...and Ben Carr who didn't play any insturments but he was kinda used at the break dancer.
Although, they started out just as the Bosstones, but changed it to the MIGHTY MIGHTY bosstones because they found out another ska band were called the Bosstones. In 1989 after they were "reformed" they came out with their first CD: Devil's Night Out. After this CD release, Dalismer and Bridewell left being replaced with Kevin Lenear on saxaphone and Joe Sirios on drums. Around this time they played about 300 shows a year, and then started getting real big. They even made a debut in Clueless.
