Started late 80's as a prog rock band " Steamhorse " , band splitted , and i continued alone , with my studio , did some mastering for known and unknown bands , in parallel i autoproduce my own music which is an alternative or an ambient experimental music , on other levels i like to create moody and instrumental music tracks , soft smooth on a more electronical base ( like beth quist ) , influenced by prog rock bands like Fates Warning , i try to join the best of both worlds , virtual & real instruments & rock & electronic .
Exquisite, subtle, timeless, intimate, organic, and melancholic. "This is the way i do collide reality and digital dreams .
With new age pianos & synths , that reaches beyond the watery backdrops and excessive arpeggios and follows through with the most important aspect of any style of writing- the musicality. and guides the ear. These multi-dimensional pieces have harmonic and structural roots in Classical piano repertoire, giving this opus an insightful and beautifully intricate quality. The music is still relaxing, soothing and freeing but you will remain engaged all the same. The antithesis to rambly, aimless new age frivolity. As spring pushes forward, the buds on the trees nudging back winter's cold fingers, bring with you, into this new season, this sanctuary of respite and calm as all begins to persistently stir again. Beautifully painting an aural landscape of quiet meadows, clear and dark evenings, still, dewy mornings and all things we imagine to bring ourselves a grounded peace.
With thick layers of instrumentation fronted by MIKE°d trademark worn, in-your-face piano and synths and a tender ear for sophisticated ambient poignancy, mike °d is able to combine the smarts of Beth Quist with the boldness of Andreas Vollenweider . All while crafting a tightly produced, hook-laden ambient album appealing new age and classical fans alike.
