The Mile After is a Charlotte, North Carolina based band of like-minded musicians who are starting to create quite a buzz. After experimentation with garage bands varying genres, TMA's members, Chase, Ben, and Jim joined forces after connecting musically at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in late 2003, along with the newest addition of Australian bassist and vocalist, Mike Horbacz.
Soon thereafter, The Mile After exploded into North Carolina's music scene and began catching the attention of fans internationally. Their knack for creating unforgettable melodies is rivaled by only their indisputable ability to flawlessly reproduce their recordings at any given live show. With three experienced vocalists, The Mile After is capable of tackling complex harmonies with ease, giving the band its signature sound.
Throughout the past five years, TMA has managed to pioneer a new genre of vocal-driven pop rock that balances meaningful lyrics with an endless supply of ear-catching hooks. Refreshingly, the members pride themselves on being available to their fans, as illustrated by their constant presence in the online community, and frequent correspondence with music-lovers everywhere. They also made the bold decision to record and release their first full-length record, Armada, completely independently, after having experienced the horrors of being on a record label in today's industry. The Mile After is penetrating the music industry at a heart-stopping pace and, luckily for us, they show no signs of slowing down.
