MF. did a big part of his growing when his family moved to Hamden CT/New haven ct and Columbia South Carolina.Considered ahead of his time, MF AKA Hi-Definition who's real name is Harold Walker grew up on Parliment Funkadelic, Earth,Wind& Fire, The Temptations and later in the 80's got attached to Hip hop.Such artists that have influnced MF were Rakim, Run-DMC, KRS-1 AND BOOGI DOWN PRODUCTIONS,COOL G RAP,BIG DADDY KANE, MC LYTE,BRAND NUBIAN ,grandmaster flash and the furious 5 etc. As rap progressed in such groups like DE LA SOUL,TRIBE CALLED QUEST,JDILLA,NO-ID, THE ROOTS, BLACK MOON, GANNGSTARR, THE PHARCYDE,REDMAN,EPMD,NAS,COMMON,MOS DEF TALIB KWELI,BIG L,BIG PUN,BEATNUTZ,DEAD PREZ,SLUM VILIIAGE,LITLE BROTHER,ZION I,PETE ROCK AND CL SMOOTH gave new life to his eyes.
