MMC Biography
There is no denying that Miami is being defined by its array of artists coming out with his/her different styles. In the late 80’s to early 90’s Miami was known for a city with booty shaking music while some songs were politically motivated like two live crew’s “banned in the USA.”
Later in the 90’s and early part of 2000 different artist like Trick Daddy, Trina, Rick Ross, Pretty Ricky just to name a few started to emerge Which kept the magic city in the main stream, giving people a little of what life was like in Miami. The songs and the musicians’ edgy lyrics kept the people wanting more, even motivating some to relocate to the magic city “the bottom.” To this day Miami still has that captivating aura that keep people wanting more of what the city has to offer. And now some of Miami’s own sons have assembled to continue pushing that legacy even further.
MMC is a group of young musicians who write about life and their lyrics are mostly expressed in a storybook form. MMC is a versatile group of young men: Ali “Jinx” Sabur(17), Daniel “PeeZay P” Gilles(18) and Erick “Krack Boii” Robillard(18) started off strictly as rappers but then dipped there fingers into many aspects of music, which can be heard in songs such as “ Deed to my soul”, “My Lady love me”, an “Life of da broke” , not to mention their new hit single Swervin.” MMC has never been known to play follow the leader, group member Jinx say’s “ We see the world through green glasses with little monkeys on the side.” This group shows their southern roots with a little animated twist. Some of the musicians/artists that helped motivate MMC in striving to be different are Outkast, Jay-Z, 2Pac, Naz, Sizzla, just to name a few.
MMC as a group as been together for about two years starting in 2005, but the group members have known each other since the early age of seven when they all moved to the same neighborhood where they gravitated to each other becoming closet friends. Their bond became strong, even after going to different middle schools they kept in contact sharing dreams of one day aspiring to be a fire fighter Krack Boii would say. They later ended up attending the same high school with some of the same goals in mind and discovering that they were musically talented through there participation in the poetry club and drama clubs and winning multiple talent competition they decided to fuse the ultimate creation : “MMC.” When people would ask what does that mean PeeZay P would say “May Favorite Group.” So soon whenever you hear the name MMC it will mean your favorite group just keeps on making hits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
