| Hey, I'm Moe, and I'm from the Philadelphia area. I've been writing music for a while in my home studio, and have been experimenting with diff styles of music and poetry. I also was the Lead Vocals for a punk/ska/reggae band named The New Victims. I wrote all the lyrics for the songs, and also collaborated instrumentally as well. All of the songs have been written and performed by myself besides anything in which I give credit to (ex: Presence of Love).
Recently, things on the musical front have taken a turn for the better. A few of my tracks will be featured in "Gangster Pranksters," a comedic gangster movie being produced in the UK. The film will be shown in festivals across the UK. Also, there have been a fair amount of requests to remix my tracks to transform them into another genre... Several collaborations are in the works which should be released shortly.
I'm still in the market for a label to produce my music, so if you are in the business of finding new artists (span genres), feel free to contact me via e-mail or message me on AP. I've had a few leads, but nothing has come to fruition. I have experience in dealing with label relations with my old punk/ska band, The New Victims. I'm easy to work with, but have a strong, and prolific work ethic.

Please feel free to download any of the tracks, or leave any comments, ratings, or suggestions for me. Any input is def welcome.
I've gotten a few e-mails about laying some lyrics down to my "Unfinished Punk Instrumental." If you end up downloading it and putting lyrics to it, I'd def like to hear it. Thanks...

Also, if you would like to use any of my works for PROJECTS, COMPILATIONS, OR BOOKINGS, please contact me at MoeTrain@verizon.net, or on AIM at XxMoeTrainxX first. I'm very interested in working with good people.
Thanks again for listening...
Moe
I am currently looking for backing from a label to produce my album. If you are a label rep, or you know someone who is, I would certainly be very interested in talking about a future project.
Style
My style is all over the board. I listen to so many different things that I try to incorporate a little of everything into what I write. I'm a pretty high energy guy, so most of my music stems from that fact. Other times, it's time to take it down a few "notches" and take it easy with more of a mellow mood.
Recently, I've decided to erase all genre lines, and try my hand in all kinds of genres... No need to get stale in just one when you can do them all... Check em out and let me know what you think.
I've played live many times, but there are so many special moments that it's hard to choose one. I've been onstage at Warped with thousands of people in the crowd, sang at sold out Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Goldfinger, Dropkick Murphys, Suicide Machines, Less Than Jake, Dance Hall Crashers, Reel Big Fish, and other shows which have slipped my mind. There's nothing like being in front of a "sea" of people and performing. It's a different type of rush that you can't get from anything else.
If anyone uses MySpace.com, look for MoeTrain in the artist's section to add me to your friend list!
Influences
Bob Marley without a doubt is my most powerful influence as songwriter/performer. The passion which is emitted from his music is unsurpassed in my eyes. Also, from being in a punk/ska/reggae band... That has a huge influence in all that I write. However, in trying not to lock myself down to a genre, I'm always listening to new music to expand my horizons.
Here are some of my musical influences:
The Hon. Robert Nesta Marley, The Beastie Boys, Coheed and Cambria, Chromeo, Rancid, Sublime, The Suicide Machines, Pennywise, The Zack Attack, Alkaline Trio, Andrew W.K., Against All Authority, Bad Boy Bill, Black Belt Jones, Blink, Brand New, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Celia Cruz, Cypress Hill, Dashboard, DJ Dan, DJ Moe Train, Dolemite, Dr. Dre, Dropkick Murphy's, Eazy E, Elephant Man, Flogging Molly, Elvis Crespo, Felix Da Housecat, Frank Sinatra, George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic All-Stars, House of Pain, Ice-T, James Brown, Jay-Z, Kanye West, La Maquina, Left Behind, Less Than Jake, Lil John, LL Cool J, Ludacris, Macho Man Randy Savage, The Mars Volta, Ma$e, MC Hammer, MUM, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Milli Vanilli, The Neptunes, THE NEW VICTIMS, NOFX, Norah Jones, Andrea Bocelli, N.W.A., Outkast, Ozomatli, P. Collaboration
I'm always looking for ways to improve my recording skills, especially in the mixdown phase. Any assistance in that department is always appreciated.
I am always looking to create something new, whether it be with my guitar/bass, or otherwise. If you'd like to hook up and do a track, drop me a line.
Recently I've been producing and layin down vocals for hip-hop/rap/old school/reggaeton tracks... If anyone wants to do some Collab with that style, send me an E-Mail and we'll do it up.
