Monica grew up singing, especially since her dad was the reverend at her local church. She first sing in front of the church when she was two. She had a lot of friends which they call her name for short "Mo". Her parents name Marilyn and Rev Edward Best. She is now currently involve in a relationship with another fellow rapper name C-Murder of No Limit. She notices guys who are intelligent, focused, and understanding young men who aren't into games. Her passion, she quotes:"I'm a movie-goer, I love to watch a lot of movies and television and I love to eat." She went to New York when she was 13, and when she was 14, she recorded her first song "Don't take it personal" It hit #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B Singles chart in June 1995 and it was cerified RIAA Platinum. Monica "Miss Thang" included her first two hits. Monica ar 15 had a full-time tutor, a road manager, a band, dancers, and a concert itinerary(with the likes of TLC,Bone Thugs and Harmony, Keith Sweat and others) She was busy almost a year until she was 16 to return home to graduate with a 4.0 grade average on Friday 13, 1997, in her hometown in atlanta, Georgia. Her latest song was a debut with Brandy" The Boy is Mine".
