| Caught between Commercial Rock/Pop and Indie Art Rock, Moonman resides on its own planet. Driven by a need to create something unique, members gathered and began composing, performing aural surgery and audio forensics, resulting in a genre bending album that lays somewhere between what is widely acceptable and what is obscenely obscure. This self titled debut melds styles ranging from 70's Progressive Rock and Funk, 80's New Wave and 60's Psychadellia. Top it all off with a healthy dose of Moon Dust (tm), and you have got Moonman. Strangely, there is something in this music that everyone can relate to, something hauntingly familiar yet obtuse enough that one can not immediately label what "It" is. Thought provoking, intelligent, catchy music that is sure to leave your head spinning in a gleeful bliss -- or is that just a side effect of the Moon Dust? |
