Mother Eel (a three piece) Formed 2004 in the Blue Mountains. Mother Eel's Debut gig was at Blue Mountains battle of the Bands. M.E. was well received by an audience of 300 people of mixed age and musical taste. Although Mother Eel is a metal band, it doesn't mean we are sad and angry young men. Oh no no no! We take theatrics and drama onto the stage. There is always drama, action, occasional course language and loads of sexual references at our shows. We never play unless we are in full costume and character. Our gigs our always a bit strange and surreal. At a recent gig at the University of Western Sydney we came dressed as the Cult of Lime Green. We wore Sexy lime green robes and got the audience to bow down and worship the holiest of colours, Green. We like art and music in the same space. We are a three piece and we play the usual drums, bass and guitar plus Theremins, laser guns, soft toys, vibrators, Dr. Phil, beer bottles, you name it! We always strive to get the audience nice and greasy at our shows.
