When you see two 14-year-old boys saying that theire going to start a band you think to your self that it's kind of sweet... but in Ween's case they did start off at age of fourteen. The two formed in suburban New Hope, Pennsylvania in 1984. At the time they were know as Mickey Melchiondo and Aaron Freeman soon after they became Dean and Gene Ween. In 1990, they signed with Minneapolis based Twin/Tone Recoreds and released the double album GodWeenSatan. They signed with Elektra Records in 1992 and released Pure Guava. Chocolate and Cheese came next in 1994 and was dedicated to the late John Candy. In 1996 Ween released there only country record to date, 12 Golden Country Greats, it was only ten tracks long. The Mollusk was released in 1997 and White Pepper followed in 2000. Ween also has three live records. RollingStone said that "Dean and Gene Ween's eclectic Post-Modern Pop defies categorization" so why even try just enjoy.
