Natasha Bedingfield grew up in Lewisham, South-East London with her New Zealand born parents, her brother Daniel and two other siblings. Interested in music from a very young age but initially pursued art and psychology, keeping music as just a hobby.
After the initial success of her brother’s pop career Natasha had the contacts and the talent to forge her way through the music industry. She decided she knew enough about the world and the entertainment business to refuse to be moulded into another pop darling and is very proud of her unique image and songs.
Natasha has recorded in LA with former collaborators of Robbie Williams, Madonna, Mariah Carey and Britney Spears and has worked with some of the rock world’s most respected names. Songs arose from extended jam sessions or from ideas she captured on her Dictaphone. The success of her first hit ‘Single’ bodes well and we hope she’s as cracking live as she is on TOTP. |
