| Hello there. Since you're reading this, it's safe to assume that you're listening or are about to listen to our second record. Here are a few things we want you to keep in mind while it's on and we've got your attention.
Some friends showed up to help us out on a few tracks -- that's Gord Adam playing the lead guitar on "Down Again", Charlie Veilleux on pedal steel on "Before You Wear the Grindstone Down", "Buck" Buchwald, Owen Merrifield, and Dylan Wagner helping with the gang vocals on the end of "Water into Wine", and wherever you hear Hammond B-3 organ, that's Mike Little. We'd like to thank these folks for giving us their time and talents.
While we're thanking people, James Hayden, Russ Broom, Andy Eichhorn and Allen Baekeland lent us some cool gear, and Dave Horrocks, Rob Bartlett and the rest of the folks at Sundae Sound bent over backwards to help us get this thing done.
It's a good thing for us that Tariq entered the digital age and decided to "unload" a stack of analog tape.
Then there's Issa Breibish, Richard Sixto and _______ ______ (you know who you are!) Without them this bird wouldn't have even been built, let along got off the ground.
As much as we hate to admit it, looks are important, and without our friends Xerxes Irani and Bob Dawkins this package and our website would be... bad.
For his tireless pursuits on our behalf, this line belongs to Rodney Paley, not-just-our-live-sound-technician.
Young Dave was definitely the MVP on this project. He woulda been cheap at twice the price. Make sure to buy him a green one next time you see him -- you can bet we will.
Five amazing women: Elizabeth Clarke, Joni Clarke, Jennifer Feurer, Suzanne Leacock, and Norma Reimer.
Here's the part where the huge list of our friends would be, but for fear of leaving someone out, we'd like to acknowledge all of you collectively. Your support and encouragement by way of booking us, coming out to see us play, playing the last record on the radio, buying it, lending it out, writing about it, etc. gave us a good reason to try it again.
Cheers.
