A lot of the interest in recent punkrock bands reflect the combined influence of earlier punk in New York with newer British bands. This "punk revival" overlooks a lot of the most pioneering music that one might call punkrock and THE NERVES are well aware of this fact.
These four guys and frontgirl Minnie Satellite create punkrock songs which are garage-y, fast, loud, and tricky. Less catchy than what most other folks would label punk, but still with very well crafted songs. Fun and a bit heavy at the same time.
Since 1987 THE NERVES – formed by a lot of transformations - follow their way, far beyond of all trends. Now they've reached the essence of their work: Punkrock with new influences somewhere in between 1976 and 2008. Persistance, consequence and unconditional dealing explains their unmistakable sound.

Am Anfang war die Faszination Punk:
Als THE NERVES 1987 die ersten Punk Songs in einer abbruchreifen Fabrik im süddeutschen Raum komponierten, ahnten sie nichts von der Langlebigkeit, die auf die Band zukommen sollte. Im Jahr 19 nach Bandgründung sind THE NERVES eine eigenständige Band mit 5 professionellen Musikern und haben in der Entwicklung des unabhängigen deutschen Punk einige Spuren hinterlassen. THE NERVES sind seit Jahren der Inbegriff für die autonome Punkrockszene ohne Bindung an ein Label. Unzählige Konzerte in Deutschland, sowie in zahlreichen Ländern Europas decken den Bedarf an Punkrock made by THE NERVES.
Immer ein bißchen besser zu sein – so die Hauptmotivation anno 1987 hat auch jetzt noch Bestand. Und trotz aller Innovation und Schnellebigkeit der Medien ging eines bei THE NERVES nie verloren: Die Liebe zu Punk und der Blick für das Wesentliche. In der süddeutschen Punkrockschmiede stehen die wahren Bedürfnisse des engagierten Fans im Vordergrund. Das Ergebnis: Punkrock, der nicht den aktuellen Trends nachjagt, sondern nicht zuletzt durch Frontfrau Minnie Satellite selbst Maßstäbe setzt. Punkrock der begeistert – und das mit einem eigenständigen Sound, der nahezu unschlagbar ist.
