New York Dolls 1st post
Well, I'm not that big of a New York Doll fan, but there are a few songs I like. For example, Chatterbox. Though, I insist that Sid Vicious sings it way better!

see, the thing about the Sex Pistols is that
they're fucking sell outs. People burned
them so much, it's not even funny. I still

I actually did not hear the New York dolls
until recently...very interesting stuff.
I'm not a big Sex Pistols fan, but they
are okay. Not my place to judge though, I

i like their look. totally kiked ass. i only
like punk in the 70s and 80s, nowadays it
seems to be completely different and just
seems like a bunch of pussy singers who sing
about how girls hurt them and the guitarist
just play lame power chords. punk bak then

i totally agree with you the bands that are
on right now have no experiance and sound gay
the old bands were the best especially the
ones that were on around the 80's but what
sucks is that most of those bands don't
play live no more because either some

There are some pretty good bands around now.
You have to look hella hard though, and they
may not play the same kind of music, but
nonetheless, we're not completely doomed.
Just mostly.

Punk is dead, people. If someone tells you
different, they're probably selling
something, and it's usually some shitty
magazine. I don't dig the Sex Pistols,
either. Call me a heretic or whatever, but I
just don't. But without the Sex Pistols,
there would never have been a Siouxsie and
the Banshees, so we can thank god for that.
PS- This is not exactly the greatest music
forum to be dissing people for
acting/sounding/looking "gay."
Look at the NYC Dolls' photo, for
christ's sake. But... I agree with you.
