Nick Lachey used to be known as the front man of mid-1990s boy band, 98 degrees. However, in 2003 he released his self-titled debut album. Lachey grew up in Cincinnati. He then moved to Los Angeles hoping to get a degree in Sports Communications. He soon joined 98 Degrees with his younger brother and some friends. In 2003, his popularity rose after his appearances on the MTV reality show, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. Lachey is married to song bird, Jessica Simpson. Lachey’s album, Nick Lachey, will be released in late 2003. The first single, “Shut Up,” was co-written and produced by The Matrix Crew (Avril Lavigne). The song “Carry On” was written by Lachey after the events of September 11, 2001. “On and On” features just Lachey singing with the accompaniment of a piano. The song, ‘Edge of Eternity’ was written for Simpson as a wedding present. Lachey’s new album is expected to place him in super star status along with his wife.
