Hi. Ive already written a bio for NOFX which was on the main page. But i could\'ve written a better one, so here it is.
NOFX is one of the most anticipated punkbands in these last few decades. The 3 original band members are; Fat Mike(bass, vocals),Erik Melvin(guitar) and Eric Sandan(drums). They met at the age of 17 at the Cathay de Grande in Hollywood, LA, California, but they are originally from Berkley. They released their first album \'Maximum Rock and Roll\' in 1984, which they didnt even know got released until they saw it in the shops. Also that year they did their first tour over Easter vacation. After playing a lot of shows, In 1986, a guy called Dave joins the band as lead singer, but tragically dies two months later in a car accident. In 1987, another guy called Dave joins the band as lead guitarist, and they release their first popular album, \'Liberal Animation\',in 1988, which sold 1,800 copies its first year. Also that year they did their first European tour. In 1989, the band realised that Dave was more of a fun guy to be around at parties than a guitarist who knew all the NOFX songs. They tried to part with him on friendly terms, but he got angry and insisted he was leaving the band himself. Later that year, a Cucasian named Steve joined the band as lead guitarist, and they release a new album,\'S+M Airlines\', which sold 2,300 copies its first year. After another tour, they release \'Ribbed\' in 1991, which Mike thinks was their \"first descent record\". It sold 13,000 copies in its first year. Also that year, Steve quits the band to start a new band. In 1992, El Hefe joins the band as lead guitarist, and they release an EP,\'The Longest Line\',and later that year, they release \'White tash, two heebs and a bean\', which sold 30,00 copies it\'s first year. In 1994, they release a new album \'Punk In Drublic\' which went half gold. From here on in, their albums sell less everytime(but still an awesome band). In 1996, they release \'Heavy Petting Zoo\'.That year, record store in France shuts down because of the posters associated with this album. In 1997, they release a new album \'So long and thanks for all the shoes\'.Then in 1999, they release the EP,\'The Decline\',which entered the top 200 chart at #200, then dropped out. Then they released another album \'Pump up the Valuum\' in 2000. In 2001, they put out a double record,\'45 or 46 songs that werent good enough to go on our other albums\', which apparently has all their crappy songs. Then in 2002 they do a split record and a tour with Rancid. The following year in 2003, they release a very political album \'The War on Errorism\'. Then in 2004, they are featured on the \'Rock against Bush\' compilation, and they finally release their \'Best Of\' album, \'The Greatest Songs Ever Written\'.
