Since their formation n August of 2004, The Northwoods Band has been crafting it's own blend of musical styles to create something original. Thus far, the Winona, Minn-based quartet has stuck to performing their own material, fusing primarily rock, reggae, blues, jazz, trance, and soul.
Through their live performances (about 60 in the first year), an adequate presence on the Internet, and persistant free-CD handouts, the band has spawned a frowing interest in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Connecting with many of the Midwest's premier live bands and playing festivals has brought them to venues like Madison's High Noon Saloon and opening the 2005 Campout Roots Festival and Gathering.
The band, although anxious to get back on the stage, is currently busy recording and booking for 2006. The Northwoods Band looks forward to exposing their music to many more listeners in the Midwest and beyond. |
