It's been 15 solid years of recording and touring for Amsterdam's NRA, and they show no signs of slowing down at all. January 18th sees the release of the latest full length CD Machine on the worlds hottest rock label Gearhead, freshly edited and power re-mastered by John Golden. The record is a sizzling platter of 16 tasty punk rock songs that have both melody and energy.
It's no surprise the band is picked up by the label that brought the Hives to the US.
When you hear songs like "Why Did I Listen to You?" or "Real Life", you know that these guys can write hits and are for real.
With the exception of the Benelux, UK and Switzerland, the record will be available world wide.
Following the release NRA will be appearing at Gearhead's annual South By Southwest Showcase in Austin, before embarking on their first US tour since their Southwest sweep right after Gearfest 2002.
NRA has a long history of putting out high quality material. Their records have been issued over the past years on labels like BYO, Hopeless, Bitzcore, Konkurrel and Virgin (just to name a few). Always loved by the critics, intensive live playing brought them to audiences all over Europe and the USA. The band set its marks on big festivals (like Tibetan Freedom Concert, Lowlands and Dour), small bars and every size hall in-between.
They have toured and played with bands like Green Day, Descendents, Blue Tip, Agnostic Front, Seein' Red, Hot Water Music plus many others.}
"We just love what we do", bass player Gwynn explains, "and I think that is something people can notice when they hear our records or see us play live. And we still keep getting better and better."
People who recently saw the band play, confirm that he is not joking.
So if you haven't already, check out this great band.
