The Offspring is a Punk/nu-metal band that was formed in the early 80s by Dexter Holland (vocals), Kevin Wasserman (guitarist), Greg Kriesel (bassist), and Ron Welty (drummer). In 1989, they released their first self-titled album, which featured hits like, Jennifer Lost the War, Black Ball, and Beheaded, however this was only the beginning of The Offspring's success, and it sold over 100,000 copies. In 1993, The Offspring released their second album, entitled "Ignition". Ignition sold over 500,000 copies, and featured awesome hits like, Dirty Magic, Kick Him When He's down, and Burn it up. In 1994, The Offspring released their third album entitled, "Smash", which sold over 2 million copies, and allowed The Offspring to tour a lot. Smash featured amazing hits like Self-Esteem, Come out and Play, and Bad Habit. In 1997, The Offspring released yet another greatly successful album called, Ixnay on the Hombre. It featured great hits like Gone Away, All I want, and The Meaning of Life. The album went Multi-platinum and sold out everywhere. This album, allowed The Offspring to tour even more.
In 1998, The Offspring released Americana, which sold over 3 million copies, and recieved a Platinum Plus award. Americana featured amazing singles like Pretty Fly for a White guy, The Kids Aren't Alright, and Why Don't You Get a Job? Americana allowed The Offspring to tour almost as much as they wanted. In 2000, The Offspring released Conspiracy of One, which had sold so many copies, recieved the platinum plus award, and allowed The Offspring to tour as much as they wanted. Conspiracy of One featured the incredible hit singles, Original Prankster and Want You Bad. After The Offspring finished touring. They began working on their seventh album. The seventh album was released in late 2003, entitled "Splinter". Splinter immediately sold over 1 million copies, and featured hits like, Hit That, and (Can't Get My) Head Around You. The Offspring is probably one of the most successful bands of all time. Their success grows as they go along.

| | I forgot what its called but its on the newest cd and it goes 'im not the one who acted like a hoe, why must i be the one who has to know, im not the one that messed up big time...(then i forgot) its #10 on the cd | Music_in_me | | Basically the entire Ignition album here :) But if I had to pick one it'd be probably Dirty Magic from that album. | LordCyrus | | my favorite is "pretty fly for a white guy". | gc_fan1985 | | The song Music in Me is referring to is The Noose from Splinter, the Offsprings most recent CD. But if I had to choose my all-time favorite, then that would have to be Self-Esteem off of Smash. The lyrics are astounding! ("Late at night, she knocks on my door/ She's drunk again and looking to score. While I know, that I should say no/ But it's kind of hard when she's ready to go") | LongLiveStrummer | acctually music in me is reffering to spare me the details from splinter, not the noose... those lyrics arent similar to the noose's lyrics at all and besides the noose is track 2 on the album...
BUCKET... | BUCKET | bucket is right...its Spare me the Details. that song rules. mine is o god i hav a list...
pretty fly for a white guy-americana
what happened to you-smash
come out and play-smash
the whole americana, conspiracy of one, and splinter album
lol i cant decide | Punk-guitarist-babe | I like, Self Esteem, Why don't you get a job, Come Out and Play, Hit That, The Kids Aren't Alright | riff_master | Anything from their 3rd album, Smash. My favs though, are Genocide, Smash, Nitro (Youth Energy), or It'll Be a Long Time. My fav new song of theirs is The Noose. I'm onyl sad that so many kids here have never even heard Smash... | Master_Shake | Dude...quickly, for my Fav Band list...System of A Down or Beastie Boys? Hurry! | Master_Shake | My fave song has to be from the Splinter album, ' Can't Get My Head (Around You)' It's either that one, or the classic ' Pretty Fly ( For A White Guy)' They are awesome songs! | Hellz_Hunny | I must say that this is quite the question. Smash alone has so many great songs but when you add in Ignition and Ixnay on the Hombre it gets real tough. I would have to say though, that my favorite Offspring song of all time would have to be Not The One from Smash. Check out my band: Interstellar | interstellar | Either that^ ...Or the classic 'Pretty Fly For A White Guy'That has to be one of the best anthems int he 20th century, lol. | hellz_hunny | ahhuh...i need 2 get ixnay on hte hombre, and i didn't liek ignition at all | Master_Shake | | Can't decide.I like them all | Beto589 | | my favs are anything from smash and splinter | lizlovesbamckyandhim | I like all of their song(I have yet to find an offspring song I truely dislike). I might be Self-Esteem, I always had that song stuck in my head when I was younger and couldn't remember who made it. I don't like their newest stuff as much(hit that and what not) but I still like it...I can't help that. I also like Come Out and Play and often find myself humming the tune to Why Don't You Get a Job. | insertname | | SAY NO WAY...SAY NO WAY YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH | blinky | | SPARE ME THE DETAILS!! AWESOME SONG! | LuVGoodCharlotte4EvA | "Self Esteem," Smash (1994)
