The Offspring is a Punk/nu-metal band that was formed in the early 80s by Dexter Holland (vocals), Kevin Wasserman (guitarist), Greg Kriesel (bassist), and Ron Welty (drummer). In 1989, they released their first self-titled album, which featured hits like, Jennifer Lost the War, Black Ball, and Beheaded, however this was only the beginning of The Offspring's success, and it sold over 100,000 copies. In 1993, The Offspring released their second album, entitled "Ignition". Ignition sold over 500,000 copies, and featured awesome hits like, Dirty Magic, Kick Him When He's down, and Burn it up. In 1994, The Offspring released their third album entitled, "Smash", which sold over 2 million copies, and allowed The Offspring to tour a lot. Smash featured amazing hits like Self-Esteem, Come out and Play, and Bad Habit. In 1997, The Offspring released yet another greatly successful album called, Ixnay on the Hombre. It featured great hits like Gone Away, All I want, and The Meaning of Life. The album went Multi-platinum and sold out everywhere. This album, allowed The Offspring to tour even more.
In 1998, The Offspring released Americana, which sold over 3 million copies, and recieved a Platinum Plus award. Americana featured amazing singles like Pretty Fly for a White guy, The Kids Aren't Alright, and Why Don't You Get a Job? Americana allowed The Offspring to tour almost as much as they wanted. In 2000, The Offspring released Conspiracy of One, which had sold so many copies, recieved the platinum plus award, and allowed The Offspring to tour as much as they wanted. Conspiracy of One featured the incredible hit singles, Original Prankster and Want You Bad. After The Offspring finished touring. They began working on their seventh album. The seventh album was released in late 2003, entitled "Splinter". Splinter immediately sold over 1 million copies, and featured hits like, Hit That, and (Can't Get My) Head Around You. The Offspring is probably one of the most successful bands of all time. Their success grows as they go along.

I don't know what it is. | LordCyrus | its a rockin song, i got hooked on it the first time i heard it and that was before the album even came out... look the offspring aint ever gonna release another album as good as smash or ixnay but splinter is pretty damn good either way...
