Otep was formed in 200 by Otep Shamya, wich is the hot, screaming blonde vocalist. The rest of the Otep crew is Rob, Moke, and Evil J. The band scored a record deal with Capitol Records as a result of running live gigs in the Los Angeles area. their first record release was \\\"Jihad\\\" in 2001. Their full length debut was \\\"Sevas Tra\\\", wich they took on tour with Ozzfest in 2002. Otep\\\'s sophmore release was \\\"House of Secrets\\\" in 2004. The \\\"Ascension\\\" is their latest record. They took it on tour in 2007 with Static X. Otep is rumored to practice cannibalism and the dark arts, wich gives them their mystical and dark appeal.
