Out Of State
Band Biography
There is nothing ordinary about us. We all have a concept, an idea that works well in our group. We write music that would be inspirational no matter how serious or absurd our music is; furthermore, that we think of writing music out of the box, or what we believe is to be out of our state of mind. Any problems and situations that arise, we learn to get through them by turning it into music.
It all started out with a piano and a drum set sitting in the back of a doctors office accumulating cobwebs. Markus Barrameda (founding member of the band,5 oz. Fear), who at the time, collaborated with a band called "Monkey Paw" which later became "30 Odd Sicks," was going through a series of unfortunate events. He later met up with a drummer named Carlos Rodriguez, who also had some bad mishaps. Born and raised in Florida, Carlos progressed his percussive ability in the Dominican Republic. They had a common ground of writing music from being serious to the point of absurdity. It was not long until they came across a bass player from Massachusetts named Chris Mullins, who was a student at Northwood University. A bassist and shared vocalist who performed in bands such as "The Trace" and the "Kids Next Door," He became addicted to the styles of music that involved a tremendous amount of piano and drum performances. Chris' talent on playing the bass and vocalizing at the same time was an influential part in the formation of this band. Markus later met up with a guitar player, Dale Pizzuti, lead guitarist from a band named "Confined" whose influences range from metal music to the big band era. His harmonious repertoire on vocal performances and guitar techniques completed the music of "Out Of State." Members of "Out Of State agreed on an idea to write music that would be inspirational no matter how serious or absurd the idea is...We are "Out Of State."
