parasiticology has come a long way from its never-ending deep roots of industrial synth rock to a conglomeration of every possible music genre into a gas tank fueled for the world to burn.
once you're bitten by the infectuous tunes that blast their way through your speakers into your bloodstream, you'll realize just how unordinary this project is.
at the helm of parasiticology is steven robert and his many personalities. "a" plays guitar, "b" slaps bass, "c" performs keys & synth, "d" hits drums & percussion and "e" is on vocals/screambox. one would think that this is a solo venture; well you have to see the personalities all in order, performing through drastic sonic assaults precursored only by the impending chaos we all see in these days.
having taken a one-way trip to hell and not expecting to get back is the sole inspiration for this band that glows off the stereo and proceeds to burn every audio system into ashes.
don't be fooled by cheap imitations and placid trademarks; parasiticology is the real deal. the study of the fucked. this group will never cease to make and keep its mark in the music industry.
coming from the depths of scranton, pennsylvania on december 31st, 1979 was a young infant that no one would ever suspect turn into the musical genius that is before us today.

young steven robert never experienced any schooling in music; instead of choosing a collegiate forum to gain knowledge in the recording & composing arts he so desperately wanted to attain, he opted to learn from those who were already where he wanted to be. what better way to learn than from the masters themselves?
deciding on learning one field at a time while continuing his education on all forums selected, sr chose to learn the guitar, which ironically is what he spent the longest time on. his first guitar was a miller axe-master that his father bought him for his 16th christmas. after that sr purchased a yamaha mt-400, some cables and shure mics along with a dr rythym 550 and started practicing 4-track recording along with writing material for his then solo project "zincpitchnine". with the aid of a friend's acoustic no-name bass with a neat pickup, he recorded over three dozen songs in a period of two years.
back in scranton when sr was 20 he had begun to seek out producers in the local area to get a better understanding of his gift of being able to come up with great shit with almost a zero-dollar budget. at this time he started to experiment with pc recording & beat-making using cool edit 2.0 and orion pro, and it is this time which lit the hottest fire under him. he has never diverted from the digital arts only a select few times to experiment with tape recording. during the next six years sr would travel from scranton back to where he grew up as a child in saxapahaw, north carolina to study more under the tutilage of chad patterson, otherwise known as fasin of south49 records. after more training of mastering techniques and molding himself into a prodigy of sound, sr decided it was finally time to go out there and do what was meant to be done, so he moved to california.
currently sr resides in baldwin park, la county, california. he has been known to travel to work with numerous producers and bands, among his friends and working partners include fasin, mankind is obsolete, vic mendoza & vm underground, ruslan kopets, ronee of talkhardradio4u & gabriel of straight jacket productions just to name a few.
music is essentially a feeding life force for sr, like a parasite that clings into its body as a host, demanding all sacrifice for it and give into its lure and go balls out. the thing is, this particular host never seems to tire of it. in fact, he's more demanding of his guest than vice versa. "to me, music as a whole is something that is more than just a gift. it is a lifestyle, a story and a lesson all in one. irregardless of genre, the expressions one's able to make onto tape is just something that can't be given an overlooked glance. at times when you're beaten, spit on, abused... you take those experiences and relay them into a song. hopefully then someone will be able to get your point." |
