Biography

Pharrell williams is one of the most influential musicitions of recent years with his production partner chad hugo they form the neptunes who have crept though the back door of hip hop from almost 10 years back producing songs for the likes off snoop dogg jay-z- and no doubt.

There music is innovative and eclectic,and pharrell have now exploded onto the mainstream with his band n.e.r.d and new record label startrak. In the beginning, Pharrell was the oldest of three boys in Virginia U.S on April the 4th 1973.His father Pharoah and mother Carolyn.He was always interested in music at a young age in school he formed a band with classmate Chad hugo called 'nobody knows' were Chad played Saxophone and pharrell the Drums, from then on they would become the neptunes...

Thoughout high school pharrell also joined a rap group with producer timbaland called sbi (surround by idiots)as they attened Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach. Soon producer Teddy Riley built his studio Future Records next to Princess Anne and after pharrell and chad were asked to produce a song they called rump shaker for the label wreck n-x effect from then on they were getting deals to remix songs including one by rn'b group blackstreet.Things really got big when they produced superthug in 98' with n.o.r.e which was an instant hit. Meanwhile they formed yet another band this time with old friend shay (sheldon hayley) called n.e.r.d standing for noone ever really dies.n.e.r.d style is indescribable as only one musical form they incorporate an eclectic mix of hip hop,rock and 70's funk rifts There album in search of.. was relesed in 2002 and done fairly well with hits such as lapdance and rockstar.Just before starting to write the new n.e.r.d album in 2002 pharrell lanched his solo carrer with frontin' an instant top ten record. 2002 also saw the neptunes start there new record label startrak signing long time friends clipse and artists such as famlay and rasco p coldchain.A complimation of some of the neptunes work was relesed and went straight to no1 on the billboard called neptunes present..clones with artists from there new label ludacris,nelly and busta rhymes also appear.

Now, pharrell has starred in two movies sucessfully lanched a solo carrer,whether or not he will relese another single by himself is unnown however,and now is bringing out a clothing label! billionaire boys club and the reebok and ice cream shoes will be on sale late 2004.

pharrell and his musical talent will go down in history he has the ability to take music to another level and bring back the real meaning of hip hop -the music.

whats next for n.e.r.d is hopefully another album followed by the sucess they had from the others

Pharrells music will and has influenced hip hop and rock lovers of this decade

his music will never die, then again noone ever really dies......
