"Plastiq Passion", is an all girl band consisting of four members who compare their music to The Cure and describe it as New Wave and Pop Punk. Jessica Chaos leads this bunch that seems to have performed in every rocking hole throughout the New York City area. The track "I Can't Wait" has that peculiar quality that makes us feel like putting on our old combat boots and black outfit, spike our hair and color it bright purple, and dream of when CBGB's was still around - and we were in there joining the mosh pit with that lost expression. The vocalists' toned down punk rock stacatto and Kat D's fast guitar parts are definitely dance inducing. If you can't wait to hear more of their music, Plastiq Passion's CD in now available at iTunes Store and CD Baby. --- Carla Cubit, The NYC Deli Magazine
The female-fronted band Plastiq Passion is bringing something new to the local music scene. In an age of garage and feel-good tribute bands, Plastiq Passion is turning back the clock to a time when anguished, edgy music was the pick of the day. With haunting melodies and emotionally raw music, the band takes their cue from popular alternative bands like the Cure and Depeche Mode. The group recently released their first EP "I Can't Wait," which contains a half-dozen songs filled with very personal pain and regret. The group is making their way at well-known music venues in Manhattan and Hudson County. Plastiq Passion plays emotionally raw music that has a hard rock edge.

One band not afraid to pour its heart and soul into every performance is Union City-based Plastiq Passion. Many of their songs are a cross between The Cure and the darker side of other Brit-pop bands, tied together with a slight punk edge. --- Eric Zeman, NJ Palisade Magazine. |
